About Lemon Blossom
Lemon Blossom is a strain that was bred by Bigger Stronger Faster (BSF) Seeds from a combination of San Fernando Valley OG Kush (SFV OG Kush) and Lemon Thai. The result is tasty, sativa-dominant (65/35), and serves as a potent energy booster and mental stimulant. This California favorite packs a punch of lemon and a lot of vertical growing height. BSF started in Spain in 2001. Since then, they’ve been collecting and breeding around the world, including this strain, which was sourced from a clone of SFV OG Kush, a citrus-rich Los Angeles favorite. Lemon Thai added a scent of fresh citrus oil to the mix, like the leaves of a lemon tree, giving the strain a stimulating, fresh aroma that users have been enjoying ever since.
When growing Lemon Blossom, you can expect a simple cultivation process, provided you have the vertical space necessary to accommodate this plant. It takes around 75-80 days to flower, but when it does, the flowers will come in thickly scented and dense. During the flowering phase, Lemon Blossom explodes in height, so keep the limitations of your growing space in mind.
For growing tips, we recommend keeping the humidity low and the ventilation high on this plant. So long as you keep up with a good pruning technique like SCROG or other topping methods, you should be able to manage Lemon Blossom throughout its meteoric flowering phase. We also can’t mention enough how much the plant smells of pungent lemon while growing, so if you plan on hiding or living with Lemon Blossom, efficient ventilation is a must.
The flavor of the strain, as you probably guessed, has a strong base of lemon terpenes that it inherited from its parents. The finish of the taste is earthier though and pretty mellow-delicious. Its THC sits at around 22-23%, with effects that range from mental escapism to a boost in energy depending on the situation. We think the strain would be great for the mid-afternoon when a little jolt of happiness can be enjoyed while the psychedelic after effects hang in the wind.
The strain is good for those that want to relax and veg out without feeling too groggy. It has a little boost of motivation and creative energy without inducing jitters. If you feel like you want to get going and get stuff done and a lemon-flavored motivator might be the way to go, Lemon Blossom is an LA mainstay for a reason.
