About OGX
The strain known as OGX has a moderate THC level of around 12.5% on average and a preference for indica genetics (70/30). The strain’s high is euphoric and relaxing, with a very kush-like flavor that produces tones of lemon and pine. This has the ability to really warm you up, giving you laid-back feelings of frustration-free calm, at the expense of what some users are calling a “flutter,” or the feeling of a racing heartbeat. So long as you take it slowly, OGX should satisfy the need for a kicked-back afternoon.
OGX comes to us by way of Humboldt Seeds, who bred it to be a beautiful couch-locking strain. The plant grows about 20 inches taller outside (up to 80 inches) and flowers in around 54-63 days. The terpene profile of the plant favors myrcene, with other notes of linalool, limonene, pinene, and phellandrene (and traces of carene).

The resulting flavor sensations are sweet, spicy, and herbal-earthy. The onset is full of a bright lemon taste that evolves into flavors of pine and a scent of the outdoors. It’s like going outside and getting a big whiff of lemongrass and fresh morning pine. The plant is pretty, with neon green nugs shaped like puffed-up popcorns, dark amber hairs, and a layer of shining clear trichomes.
The high of the OGX strain begins as a euphoric feeling of energy-draining calm. Your negative or racing thoughts will be replaced by positivity and sedation. We don’t recommend this strain for anyone looking for focus, motivation, or energy. If you use OGX in the afternoon, expect it to be the last thing you do for a while! It’s more well-known for steamrolling a negative mood, relieving your body’s wear and tear, and making you feel happy. We think this strain would make a much better week-ender, when you can hang out (and veg out) on the couch.
As the waves of warmth spread from your neck and spine to your appendages, the biggest takeaway will be a feeling of calm. Be warned that though many users have found OGX to be happiness-inducing, calming the waves of their mental storms, they have also reported some side effects, including a rapid heart rate, cotton mouth, feelings of paranoia, and hunger. Stay diligent about how this strain makes you feel so you can use it to defeat your stress and not encourage it.
