Eddy OG, also known as OG Eddy Lepp, is a pedigree strain, one that took 2nd place at the 2013 High Times Cannabis Cup. Eddy OG was created by Apothecary Genetics. In 2004 they crossed OG Kush and Grape Ape, both of which have won their own slew of breeding awards. This means it comes from a line that goes back through Lemon Thai and Skunk #1 to Afghani and Pakistani indica landrace strains (Mexican on the Sativa side). The buds of the Eddy OG plant are dark, dense, and brown, with speckles of green and amber pistils. It’s named after Eddy Lepp, the cannabis cultivator (Eddy Lepp Medicinal Gardens) whose garden was so huge that he bought himself a ticket to federal prison in 2009 with the confiscation of over 30,000 plants. It is an easily grown strain with a low-growing shape like a shrub. It doesn’t spread out too much and its dense buds are ready for harvesting in around 65 days of flowering.
