About Orange Cannoli

Orange Cannoli is a strain bred by Solfire Gardens from The Don Mega and Tropicana Cookies, two famous fruity favorites. This means Orange Cannoli has the benefit of Tangie, Girl Scout Cookies, Garlic Cookies, and more in its immediate lineage, from which it gets its own orange-funk flavor combination. Unfortunately, not a lot is known about its THC content or genetic composition outside of its lineage, but its effects are well-documented. Continue reading to learn what Orange Cannoli is all about and what its chemical funky fruit flavors can do to you.

Solfire Gardens is a breeder out of the Pacific Northwest, one of the more recent additions to the big breeders out there, founded in 2015. The brainchild of a biology student from the University of Washington, the company is also responsible for Cookies Supreme, Gucci Fruit, Mando, Mega Runtz, and more.

The Orange Cannoli strain grows in a multi-topped medium bush structure with a mid-heavy yield that grows in 56-63 days. The strain responds well to topping as a form of high-stress training, which we recommend tackling only if you have some experience in topping. This involves chopping off the central top stalk to encourage growth hormones in the adjacent branches. This results in a shorter, bushier growing structure that tends to yield more. However, it isn’t required, and Orange Cannoli will still yield medium-well using low-stress methods.

The flavors of Orange Cannoli are not well-reported, but they seem to range from tastes of orange borrowed from the Tropicana strain mixed with a chemical, funky aftertaste with hints of diesel fuel and garlic. From what we’ve seen, this strain is pungent and nose-tingling, with a lot of fragrant terpenes sort of slammed into submission by the chemmy aspects of its direct heritage. If you’re a fan of both the doughy-fruity dessert-like strains like Cannoli and Tropicana but don’t mind them transforming into garlic fuel and ammonia flavors, you fit the pretty restrictive Venn diagram of users that are perfect for Orange Cannoli.

As the sweet onset of the Orange Cannoli strain sets in, you’ll start to feel its heady, cerebral high. As you smoke, your body will feel more relaxed as the good feelings pour in. The bushes are dark olive green and give off the same citrus-chemical funky aroma as the buds. We recommend this strain for afternoons when you want to kick back after a hard week’s work and enjoy some cerebral sensations and diverse flavors.
