About Grape MAC

Grape MAC by Apothecary Genetics is a massive strain, high in height, in yields, and in flavor. In the ground, it looks like a shining alien Christmas Tree with vibrant yellow pistils, deep green leaves, and a coating of sparkling white trichomes. The buds are compact and have a hard appearance, like overgrown pebbles coated in resin. This strain’s sugar-coated visual is matched by a THC content of around 20% and a host of flavors that give its users a full selection of interesting terpenes. Continue reading to learn about where Grape MAC came from and what you can expect to happen when it moves into your headspace.

This hybrid strain has a healthy dose of both Indica and Sativa genetics. This is a result of the strain’s heritage, which is a mix of Miracle Alien Cookies (aka  “MAC1”) and Grape Ape. This means that Columbian, Starfighter, and Girl Scout Cookies strains are all in there in its lineage somewhere, passing down some amazing flavors. If you’ve had experience with any of those strains, you have clues to how Grape MAC will treat you, even if you don’t know the whole story yet.

The strain has an onset that’s strong and sweet, with powerful flavors of citrus and floral undertones, almost like the scent of orange blossom. But as you smoke, the flavor evolves with a more earthy, herbal palette (that’s GSC coming through), with an exhale that has a touch of tangy, spicy citrus flavors mixed with sour diesel. The main terpenes responsible for this flavor concoction are Pinene, Limonene, and Caryophyllene. Grape MAC spends around 9 weeks in the ground nurturing these flavors for you before it’s ready for harvest (if you grow it inside). Outside, expect a harvest time around mid-October. Yields are between 500-600g pretty much no matter where you grow it.

GROWING TIPS: Novice growers should be stoked about Grape MAC. It’s easy to grow even if this is your first-ever strain. Pretty much any cultivation type will work, including the ScroG method. It takes well to most growing mediums too, including soil, coconut, and hydroponics.

As for its effects, Grape MAC delivers cheeriness followed by a lift of euphoric motivation that will have you energized and ready to work on creative stuff. For that reason, the strain has the potential to take the edge off a stressful week and can even jumpstart a stubborn appetite. New growers and users alike have found that this strain doesn’t waste its impressive genetics. It gets to the grapey point.
