About Diesel Thai

Diesel Thai is a sativa-dominant strain with a sky-high THC level and balanced, mellow effects. The strain’s focused dose of euphoria-inducing, citrusy funk goes to show that just because a strain has high numbers doesn’t always mean it’s a head hazard. The high is powerful, especially in your head, but not overwhelming or sedating. Continue reading to learn about Diesel Thai, the deceptive little bud bred from a combination of the famous Thai strain and Sour Diesel, most commonly found in Washington state.

The strain known as Diesel Thai frequently scores in the upper 20s for THC, but rarely contains any noticeable CBD (0.1% at most). The sativa high of the strain focuses your mind on its flavor and imparts a balanced, effective euphoria. It’s a great strain for users that want to mellow out with complex favors and undemanding feelings. If you don’t love the buzzy effect that a lot of strong sativas give out, you don’t have to worry – Diesel Thai is a subtler, more comforting sort of high. It’s a spirit-lifter.

As your stressful thoughts fade and relaxation starts to take over, you may finally be able to take stock of Diesel Thai’s unique and complex flavor profile. The first hit is a deep citrus flavor, with spiced candy prickling your nose. When you exhale, you’ll start to get the diesel fuel, incense, and sandalwood coming out. It’s an intellectual palette, full of herby intent and a citrus finish.

The plant itself grows lumpy buds, arranged haphazardly on the nugs are bright orange pistils and gold-colored crystal trichomes. Cultivating Diesel Thai’s foresty buds takes around 54-63 days, yielding around 10-15 ounces per plant. In both indoor and outdoor conditions, the strain only reaches a modest height of 30-60 inches. Its main terpenes include myrcene, limonene, bisabolol, caryophyllene, phellandrene, and the less often seen geraniol. Geraniol is the slightly citrusy culprit of the unique scent of geraniums, which gives the strains that contain it their slight hints of lemongrass, rose, coriander, and peach.

We recommend Diesel Thai for daytime use as the strain is compellingly energizing, relaxing, and mellowing, though not sleep-inducing. Some users have reported dry mouth and paranoia, but sleep and sedation are rarely mentioned because Diesel Thai, though powerful, is also gentle.
