About Bear Creek Kush

Bear Creek Kush is an evenly balanced strain that resulted from the joining of two classics: Blueberry Haze and Mt. Valley Kush by the breeders at Doc’s Dank Seeds on the West Coast. The strain is infamously pungent and fruity, with a hint of lime and blueberry funk, both of which it comes by honestly. We especially like its diverse mix of terpenes and beautiful buds. If you can handle a super pungent strain, this one’s an all-natural keeper.

This strain’s genetic heritage is rife with fruity favorites in the Blueberry line, going back to Afghani landrace Indicas on the one side and Mexican/Colombian natives on the Haze side. The result has a delectably diverse terpene profile, which includes caryophyllene, limonene, linalool, myrcene, humulene, ocimene, terpinolene, and pinene. The result is a taste of sweet blueberries that transforms as you continue smoking into notes of sour citrus and funk, with lime on the exhale. The aroma is similar and builds in pungency until everyone in the vicinity will know what you’re smoking and where. If discretion is an issue for you, Bear Creek Kush isn’t going to be the right pick.

The strain is potent, with a THC level that hovers around 20%. It shouldn’t pose too much of a problem for newbies, however, or too much of a snooze for experienced users. The strain’s growing difficulty is listed as easy, but its yield is listed as low, so you get what you work for with Bear Creek Kush. When it grows, it sprouts olive-green nugs that are shaped like cones with a deep blue, almost violet-colored center. The pistils are like a thick amber while the trichomes are equally plentiful, thick, and frosty. It takes around 8 weeks to flower when grown indoors, which we only recommend if you want the strain to be easy, short, and modest. If you grow it outside, you’re sure to get a heavier yield, but you’ll also need to sharpen your pruning shears since Bear Creek Kush has a tendency to spread out when given the space.

If you don’t mind the thick smell of blueberry citrus, with hints of funk, this strain is a great relaxer, which spreads from your spine and head to the rest of you. Its warming feelings will make you feel happy, hungry, settled, and less anxious. This is why the strain is so good for an afternoon inside when relaxing is the only thing you plan on doing for a while.
